The palace family will all remember this... Les was always keen to take stewards to other teams grounds (to show them how it's done).... So we went to the semi final of the playoffs to our fierce rivals Brighton!! I remember the coach journey down there... Everyone nervous and excited... And les saying "right u lot... Let's keep it professional... If we score no celebrating" would we heck! Anyway ... We had some div give les some grief at the front of the stand an les grabbed him and, pulling out his ever famous red and blue palace tie, said "I'm wearing the fucking colours too... I'm palace..." The geezer then calmed straight down!! That was les all over.. Always thinking outside the box! So then we get to the final whistle... We were going to the final!! I look round to see barnsey punching the air and pretty much dancing lol shaking hands with the players... The next thing that happened was surreal... He only gets permission for us to have a picture in the goal mouth of our rivals!!!Oh what memories.... Thank you Les - I'll miss you mate, sleep tight x
